The Pembina County Pioneer Daughters Club was chartered in 1941. Most members were either original settlers or their decendants. Organized to honor early pioneers, the Club eventually recorded the early history of Pembina County. The Club's first project was to collect the histories of the earliest pioneer mothers, focusing on women with children who had arrived in the county prior to 1890.
